Description: (inspector: please contact david arnett-he is familiary with this project). audubon condos: basement reno. for converting garages into storage areas for tenants (after the fact), mgrs. office & exercise rm.. all constr. shall comply w/2002 ky. bdlg. code. basement has been separated into 3 areas with 1 hr. rated wall to ceiling deck above. adding interconnected hard wired smoke detectors w/alarm system throughout as per nfpa 72. dead end corridors have been eliminated by providing a new wall/door into storage areas. adding exit signs & emergency lighting. all storage spaces shall have sprinklers in accordance with nfpa 13r & installed by licensed sprinkler contractor.(some storage areas have unprotected low ceilings that may remain but will be sprinklered-this alternative approved by camp taylor fire dept). under stair storage has been eliminated & doors sealed w/5/8" fire code drywall under stairs. if any new bathrms. are added in the future, they must be handicap accessible. one hr. rated stairwells will be provided if not existing. dampers added to hvac ducts. the following must also be done: exposed wiring in furnace rooms must be eliminated, fire caulk dampers, remove combustibles within 36" of furnaces, provide breaker box covers, seal around heating vents, verify sticker on exhause vent stack on gas fired water heater, eliminate penetrations in separations walls & make sure all smoke detectors are interconnected. audubon park approval dated 4-20-07, clarence dunn. aw
