Description: Clerical/office only 04/06/09: applicant came into office, submitted application and fee, per sw, inspection already done and permit issued, no project notices sent out. sg 05/03/11: renewal invoice sent to applicant. sg 05/10/11: received renewal payment from applicant in the amount of $124. receipt scanned, inspection checklist and receipt to m. gonzales for renewal inspection. sg 6/16/2011- pictures to images and printout checklist back to s. gamboa. m.gonzales 06/20/11: spoke with applicant to verify hop and phone number, verified. sg 06/21/11: sent applicant permit and renewal letter. sg 04/10/13: renewal invoice sent to applicant. sg 04/15/13: applicant came into rancho office to drop off payment renewal, receipt sent to applicant in the mail. sg 04/15/13: information given to m. malcolm for renewal inspection. sg 05/01/13 inspection conducted. this property is located in back of the property address of 8560. there are lots of questions and possible violations on this case. i am not sure how the back property got a different address, the property owner does not live at the residence, but he owns it. he states he is a wholesale dealer and he is parking commercial vehicles, storing vehicles for wholesale on less than an acre. he also has his address on a business sign. i am trying to determine how to proceed. mm 09/13/13 spoke with officer phil salazar. this applicant states that he does no wholesale car dealership on his property. all he does is store the cars on his property after the three day deadline the auction has for pick-up. he states he sometimes allows his friend to store his boat or rv on the property. there were about three or four vehicles parked here for the wholesale dealer to pickup. wholesale services is an allowable use for this community industrial zone. the applicant has other cars that he works on. he has an office that holds his son's packages for the son's business. neither the son nor the applicant live at the property, they live in rancho cucamonga. the applicant will take the boxes to his son or the son will infrequently pick up boxes. applicant states that he had a code complaint previously and was told by the officer that he needed to get an hop for storing the vehicles. i can not determine why he needs an hop. the dmv wants the applicant to have a wholesale dealer's license at 8568 mulberry because that is where he stores the cars. he needs the license in order to buy from the auction and to sell to other dealers. i will discuss with nacho whether an hop is needed. mm 11/13/13 per nacho, this applicant has fallen outside the scope of an hop. the applicant states he does not do paperwork or have a business office at the property which is why we show he originally applied for the permit. he states it is cheaper to store the cars at the fontana property because at his rancho property he will have to pay city more for license. left message for po that we will have to deny the hop. he states he does have an office there per dmv. i told him that he needs planning approval for storing cars at the property. permit file face sheet forwarded to i. nunez for review. pics 102-9031-9043 filed. mm 11/14/13: code enforcement case opened, assigned to m. gonzales, see c201303181. sg 04/01/14: not required but issued, applicant paid for it. m.gonzales 04/02/14: permit, approval letter and conditions sent to applicant. sg
