Description: 17 may 10 - the fence used as a pool enclosure is in disrepair and is no longer an effective barrier. a portion of the fence, approximately 10 feet, had fallen due to excess vegetation overgrowth. the fence appears old and in a state of decay. the fence is no longer preventing access to the pool. 19 may 10 - spoke to the homeowner about the condition of the fence. she stated financial problems were the reason repairs to the fence have not been completed. i notified her of the code requirement and safety issues associated with swimming pools. i suggested a low cost temporary repair until she is more financially sound and able to make the necessary major repairs. 26 may 10 - re-inspected the fence, it has not been repaired. 27 may 10 - sent a letter to the homeowner confirming our conversation of 5-19-10 and setting a one-week timeline to make repairs. 11 june 10 - spoke to the a resident at the property. the homeowner is getting estimates for making the repairs. extended the deadline 10 days. 22 june 10 - re-inspected the property. the fence has been repaired and the property is in compliance.
