Description: Robert, a few days ago, i alerted code enforcement to the weedy state of a residential property located on the north side of cowell road at the corner with mesa. they are doing follow up. last night, laura brought this same building to my attention but from a different angle. she is concerned about the life-safety of the building. she says she observed electric cords snaking around the outside of the building, a downed fence, trim and gutters falling off the building, and the lack of screens in any of the windows. i stopped by this morning and took a look. it is clearly a multi-tenant building. the address appears to be 1200 mesaor at least that is the only address i could find on the building. i did not see a downed fence, or gutters falling off. i did observe some trim falling off the face of the building on the cowell side, lack of screens, and there are cords that go from one window to another. . . . couldnt tell if they were electrical or cable. and there was a lot of what appeared to me to be odd wiring around the utility box on the outside of the complex. i have no idea what authority you have for this building, im guessing it is only four units. but will you look into it and let me know your thoughts? i cc-ed russ so he would know that this new concern had been raised. valerie valerie barone city manager city of concord [email protected] 925.671.3150
